Witnessing a lunar eclipse is one of nature’s most spectacular celestial events. The moon’s gradual transformation as it passes through Earth’s shadow creates a mesmerizing display of colors and shadows. :-)
Lunar Eclipse - September 7, 2025,
The eclipse was visible from our location, and I was fortunate enough to capture this celestial phenomenon through my camera lens. This was my first attempt at photographing a lunar eclipse, so these are definitely novice shots! The photos document the moon’s journey through different phases of the eclipse, from the initial penumbral contact to the dramatic total eclipse phase.
The lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon, casting its shadow on the Moon’s surface. This creates the characteristic reddish-orange color during totality, often called the “blood moon” effect.
